What's Your Story?

Day five of our Israel trip began with a quick devotional on the shore of the Sea of Galilee. Rich spoke about the time Jesus came to the same area to exercise the demon Legion from an insane naked man (who Rich referred to as “Crazy Larry”) that no one had ever been able to contain. The demon pleaded with Jesus, asking to be sent into the nearby pigs so that it could flee back to the underworld.

This commotion got the attention of the citizens in nearby Hippos. As the crowds gathered around him, they saw that Jesus had made “Crazy Larry” sane and clothed. People came from the surrounding countryside, and Jesus told the crowd his story. The day was all about learning people’s stories, from the small Israelite village of Qatzrin, to the large Roman-esque city of Caesarea Philippi. In the end, everyone has a story to tell.
