Edge Camp—Week 7
So far in Middle School Edge Camp, we have had some crazy challenges full of camaraderie, smiles, laughter, and team work!
Among all of the regular camp activities, we've competed in:
Giant cup pong (without the alcohol, of course!)
The world's craziest relay race involving a t-shirt cannon, a giant slip -n- slide, a bucket gondola, a river ferry (we pretended the swimming pool was a river), and a wild inner tube race to the finish line!
AND a very close game of "Really Bad Art." Don’t worry, that is just the name of the game! I've found out that some of these kids truly have some real talent!
There are many more fun and "edgy" challenges to come, but none of these activities compares to the edginess of the camp culture where all are accepted, valued, needed, and loved as brothers and sisters in Christ. What a wonderful week it has been with 20 teenagers who have learned to work as a team, support one another, and care for each other. Perhaps as they go back to their typical lives, the world may be a little more of an “edgy” place (the good kind).
