Double the Fun: STEM and Hydro Camp!—Week 9
Highlander Camps are off to a great start!
Even though we had a lot of rain on Monday, we were able to have a great day! Hydro camp was excited when the lightning stopped because they were able to play in the rain! SO MUCH WATER FUN! Alternatively, STEM camp brightened up the cloudy day by making homemade ice-cream and homemade root beer. FUN FACT: to make rootbeer, you need dry ice! Dry ice = mad science fun!
God is truly present in ALL these campers. For our curriculum this year, our campers are able to explore how peacemakers are blessed. Thus far, they have learned about hospitality. We have loved watching the different ways campers are showing hospitality to each other by respecting each other as God's children. We have also learned about how peace can come after conflict (much like in the story of Jacob and Esau). We look forward to learning more about being blessed through peacemaking throughout the rest of the week!
The week isn't even half over, but already we are forming strong bonds. AND we are confident it is going to be an incredible week for your camper! In the meantime, you can support us by praying for high energy (our days are packed, easy to get tired) and plenty of sunshine! Thanks!
